President Jokowi is very responsive and quick to react in dealing with the 2019 Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak. This can be seen from the emergence of various regulations related to the existence of COVID-19. One of them is by issuing Presidential Decree No. 7 of 2020 concerning Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) as amended by Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 9 of 2020 concerning Amendment to Presidential Decree No. 7 of 2020 concerning Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Acceleration Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
This task force is under the President and reports to the President. The task force was created by the president to improve national resilience in the health sector, accelerate the handling of COVID-19 through synergy between ministries/institutions and regions and increase the anticipation of the development of the escalation of the spread of COVID-19. In addition, this acceleration task force also aims to increase the synergy of operational policy making and increase readiness and ability to prevent, detect, and respond to COVID-19. The task force formed involved almost all ministries/institutions.
Funding needed for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is charged to the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), and/or other legal and non-binding sources the provisions of the legislation.
We all hope that with the formation of this task force, the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta, can be resolved soon and all citizens can immediately move on their normal activities as before.
