In the Power sector, our lawyers advise on the start-up of the company, permitting and licensing, power purchase agreement (PPA), EPC contracts, O&M Agreement, land procurement and other local law issues. Our project portfolio include representing leading independent coal power producer company for 1 x 600 Megawatt in Central Indonesia and independent hydro power producer for 2 x 240 Megawatt in Western Indonesia. At the beginning of 2016, We are involved in the acquisition of a local independent water power producer company in Sumatera and also we represented a national power producers company wholly owned by the People’s Republic of China in a US$50 Million court case in the district court and high court of the Republic of Indonesia.
In the Mining Sector, our firm advised and assisted many mining companies, either wholly owned by the State or independent that engages in coal, gold, nickel, bauxite and iron mining. We provide a wide range of services from structuring investments, acquisition, agreements, legal documentation, permitting, licensing and land procurement. Since Indonesia’s ban on ore exports in 2014, we have advised and assisted mining companies to set up smelting and refining plants in Java and Sulawesi. We have advised one of the biggest company in the People’s Republic of China in its smelting and refining plant in Sulawesi. We are representing a leading nickel mining company in setting up nickel smelting plant in Java and Sulawesi with investment up to US$230 Million.
